What is pernicious anemia? Pernicious anemia is a form of vitamin B12 deficiency where intrinsic factor is poorly produced.  Intrinsic factor binds vitamin B12 and allows its' absorption in the intestines.

Vasospasm

What are the symptoms of a vasospasm and when are they typicaly seen after SAH?   Signs of vasospasm are similar to stroke symptoms.  The vessel narrows decreasing blood flow to the area leading to neurologic symptoms of that vessel territory.  They are typically seen between 4 days and 2 weeks after initial insult.
